The In Memory ID is the unique number for your loved one and will help us keep track of all donations in their memory.
If you don't know the date of passing, you can provide this at a later time by calling our Supporter Care Team on 0345 845 1945 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Alternatively, if there is another special date on which you would like to remember your loved one, please share this with us below.
If you are happy to, please tell us a bit more about your loved one. We may use this information to tailor our communication with you. We will keep this information confidential.
As our gift to you, and in memory of your loved one, we would like to inscribe their name into our Book of Remembrance. Our Book is professionally inscribed by a calligrapher and records the name and date of passing of your loved one, in honour of donations made in their memory.
The Book can usually be visited at our Head Office in London. However, with the Covid-19 pandemic and the Government's restrictions, we are unable to welcome visitors currently. Any requests for inscriptions made during this time will be honoured when the restrictions are lifted. Please get in touch using the telephone number or email address below to check the status of your inscription before making any travel arrangements.
We're not allowed to claim Gift Aid on collections or other group donations
To pay in a gift left in a Will, please contact Mary Casey on 0203 207 2259 or email email@example.com.
If you are a UK taxpayer, you can make your donation worth 25% more with Gift Aid. For every £1 you give to us, we receive an extra 25p from HM Revenue and Customs.
By ticking the Yes box I confirm that I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations by all charities that I donate to in that tax year, it is my responsibility to pay any difference.
Please notify The Royal British Legion if you want to cancel this declaration, change your name or home address or no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains. If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.
